Ingredients
- Long grain rice – 1 kg
- Fresh chicken and cleaned – 1 kg
- Onion sliced chopped – 2 pieces
- Garlic/ginger paste – 1 table spoon
- Cardamom – 1 table spoon
- Turmeric – 1 table spoon
- Coriander powder – 1 table spoon
- Tomato chopped – 1 piece
- Green belly pepper chopped – 1 piece
- Salt – 1 table spoon
- Oil – As required
- Dried lemon – 1 piece
Instructions
- Deep fry chicken and keep aside.
- In a pan add oil , onion till golden color add pepper, tomato , garlic /ginger oaste , turmeric, cardamom, salt, coriander powder, and the deep fried chicken cover and let for 30mins to take the whole juicy flavors.
- Mean while in a pot add water and bring to boil , add pinch salt and 1Tsp oil. Add the washed rice ( not soaked ) let it boil for 10mins. Sieve the rice .
- In another cooking pot add first layer of rice ( half of rice ) and then add the chicken mixture and another layer of rice , let it cook for more 20mins at a very low heat . can be served with green salad or fresh yogurt , Enjoy !
Notes
- Chill before serving.
